Twins Davay and Da’Veigh Washington of Chester were among the 361 graduates receiving degrees from Neumann University this commencement season, but theirs came with some wheeled help from Dad.

Each day from the first day of class through graduation, the 22-year-olds were taken to and from campus thanks to their dad, Shellman Washington.

“I’ve been involved with their school from the beginning up until now,” the auto mechanic said. “I’m self-employed so I can make my own schedule. I made sure I got them to school first and then I worked.”

Then, he’d go pick them up when they were done at Neumann for the day and return to continue his own work.

As a result, the twins became the first in their family to earn college degrees and gained their undergraduate degrees in business administration
