The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory at 7:36 a.m. on Saturday in effect until 10:45 a.m. for Montgomery and Schoharie counties.
The weather service says, "Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected."
"Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Water over roadways," says the weather service. "Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles."
