HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - More rounds of heavy rain rumble through the Commonwealth for our Saturday forecast. The morning starts with heavy rains sticking in eastern Kentucky, with some areas seeing local high water concerns. Temps are in the mid 60s to start, but warm quickly as skies clear. When our first round of rain shifts off farther east, we will see passing clouds and scattered sunshine for our daytime hours in the commonwealth. Temps quickly surge into the 80s.
While there are periods of dry in the forecast for our afternoon, more strong to severe storms will push in closer to dinnertime and into the evening hours. The second line of storms looks to bring in heavy rains, with a severe threat south of I-64. The closer to the KY/TN border, the more likely you are to see that activity,
