CINCINNATI (WKRC) - June's full moon, also known as the "strawberry moon," will be the lowest full moon that has appeared in the night sky in nearly 20 years. Here's how to see it.
The moon will be visible in the sky on the night of June 10 and morning of June 11, rising around 8:30 p.m. EST and peaking at around 3:44 a.m., per EarthSky.org.
The strawberry moon's name doesn't come from its color, but rather its appearance originally occurring around the time of the summer strawberry harvest.
2025's strawberry moon is special because it will appear during a major lunar standstill, an event that only takes place between every 18 and 19 years in which the moon appears lower in the sky.
According to BGR, skywatchers will be in for another treat because Antares, a bright red star, will also
