Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute softball player Taryn Estes was named as a Division III, second-team All-American by the National Junior College Athletics Association Division III Softball Committee.

It was the latest in a long line of accolades for the sophomore from Waynesville. She was also honored on Wednesday by Rawlings Sporting Goods Company, Inc. as one of the 27 recipients of the 2025 NJCAA Rawlings Gold Glove Award. The award recognizes nine student-athletes from each of the NJCAA Division I, II and III memberships.

On Monday, she was named an All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Estes hit .406 on the season, with 15 home runs and 11 doubles. She had 47 RBIs and an .841 slugging percentage.
