The student has become the master. After making the move to shortstop and focusing all his efforts on a smooth transition, Mookie Betts is now passing on his knowledge to Max Muncy, writes Fabian Ardaya at The Athletic .

Betts helped infield coach Chris Woodward run some ground ball drills for Muncy earlier this week, giving the third baseman some of the same advice Woodward had offered during the transition to short.

Betts’ role as mentor is unsurprising: He’s always been a leader who is willing to take the time to support his teammates. But with limited experience at short, he’s relying on the recent wisdom gained from Miguel Rojas and Dodgers coaching staff to provide support.
