RIDGEFIELD – The Ridgefield Lions club awarded $40,000 in scholarships to 12 Ridgefield High School seniors and local college students, according to a May press release from the group.

Some of the money for the scholarships came from the club and some came from individual club members, with the awards administered by the Lions.

“We’re proud to be able to provide this great level of support for our top students,” Ridgefield Lions President Josh Olson said. “It’s in keeping with our ‘We Serve’ motto.”

Additionally, the Ridgefield Lions welcomed two new members, Scott and Rojean Parrish, at the May 28 meeting. They were sponsored by Brigid Taylor. Tags Ridgefield & Fairgrounds Ridgefield School District
