JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) - The date of a groundbreaking ceremony for the Children’s Museum of Rock County (CMRC) has been set.
The ceremony on Tuesday, June 24 will mark the start of construction on the project in downtown Janesville.
CMRC leaders said the ceremony will be held at 100 W. Milwaukee Street at 4:30 p.m., and more details about the event will be released at a later date.
Construction will take up to 13 months to finish, and the museum is expected to open in 2026.
The purchase of the building for the CMRC was made back in April .
