Central Pennsylvania residents can expect an unsettled weekend with scattered showers and thunderstorms , particularly in the southern and eastern regions.

A cold front moving through the area will bring intermittent precipitation and slightly cooler temperatures.

In the Harrisburg area, the National Weather Service says , showers and a thunderstorm are most likely before 5 p.m. Saturday.

Drier air is expected to move into the northern mountains, helping to clear skies and dissipate morning fog. Temperatures will remain near normal, with highs in the 70s and slightly cooler conditions compared to Friday.
