LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The U.S. Court of Appeals has upheld a district court's decision to dismiss a lawsuit filed by Lynchburg City Councilman Martin Misjuns.
Misjuns claimed he was wrongfully terminated from the Lynchburg Fire Department in 2021 for exercising his freedom of speech.
Misjuns alleged that certain former members of the city council conspired with the fire department to orchestrate his firing. However, the district court dismissed the lawsuit in December, citing a lack of evidence.
