SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - A man was parking at Nantucket Harbor apartments when an armed man approached his vehicle with a gun, but the victim was also armed.

On June 7, at 1:45 a.m., the Shreveport Police Department (SPD) responded to an attempted armed robbery at Nantucket Harbor, 4650 Lakeshore Drive. When officers arrived, they learned that a man was in his vehicle in the parking lot when the incident occurred.

The victim had backed into a parking space. When he stopped, a man got out of the passenger side of a white Nissan car and tapped on his window with a gun. The victim immediately pulled his own handgun out and the two of them began to shoot at each other.

The suspect jumped back into the white Nissan and fled the scene.
