SPARTANBURG, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Spartanburg Police Department reports responding after a motorcycle crash left a driver dead on Friday.
Officers said they responded to W. O. Ezell Boulevard around 9:15 p.m.
A black motorcycle was traveling east when witnesses reported it attempted to switch lanes, but the driver lost control of the vehicle, which went off the left side of the roadway and hit a tree in the median, according to police.
Officers said the motorcycle driver, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, died at the scene.
The victim has not yet been identified.
The Spartanburg Police Department is continuing its investigation.
