HOUSTON — An ill-fated cruise that left passengers stranded for five nightmarish days in the Gulf is now the subject of a new documentary.
"Trainwreck" is taking a deep dive into the 2013 so-called "poop cruise."
It was supposed to be a four-day, round-trip on the Carnival Triumph from Galveston to Cozumel.
But, it was anything but a vacation for those on board.
An engine room fire left the ship drifting without power, air conditioning or flushing toilets.
The documentary highlights first-hand accounts of the chaotic cruise. It will be released on Netflix on June 24.
