SAN ANTONIO - Police are investigating after a person was tragically killed while walking across Loop 410.

Around 1:50 a.m. on Saturday, police responded to the scene of a crash involving a pedestrian near the corner of Loop 410 and Perrin Beitel.

When police arrived at the scene, they found a body in the main lanes of Loop 410, just before the exit to I-35. A pickup truck had pulled over not far from the body.

According to investigators, a man in his early 20s had left the dance hall for unknown reasons and began running through the parking lot toward Loop 410.

The man then ran across the main lanes of the highway and was struck by a Toyota Tundra. The driver of the Tundra was evaluated on scene and was found to be intoxicated and was arrested.
