In Raleigh, a motorcyclist died after colliding with a trailer being towed by a truck at the intersection of Poole and South New Hope roads, police said in a news release.

Bobby Edwards Jr., 44, was riding a 2022 Suzuki GSX1300RR north on South New Hope Road around 7:12 p.m. when he attempted to turn left onto westbound Poole Road, according to the release.

At the same time, a man driving a 2025 Ford F550 with a trailer loaded with wood was traveling east on Poole Road.
