A mum stole nearly £500,000 from her employer - and blew most of it on TikTok tokens.

The mother-of-two, who worked as an accounts manager for a car company, was left in tears as she was told she was being sent to prison.

Katherine Greenall was gifting the tokens to content creators on the social media platform for her own "amusement and entertainment".

Some of the money was also spent on holidays, hotel stays and purchases from Amazon.

On Friday, Liverpool Crown Court heard Greenall began working for a company called New Reg Ltd that "specialises in purchasing vehicles for private and commercial clients," in April 2021

The 29-year-old was promoted to accounts manager in December 2022, giving her access to business bank accounts.
