A former low-level employee of a Harrison Township business broke into its offices and waited inside for a company executive to arrive before shooting him in the face.
That was the scenario laid out Thursday by Macomb County prosecutors that resulted in Karl M. Johnson, 28, of Southfield, being bound over to a higher court of potential trial on a first-degree murder charge in the death of Roger Palmer, 54, of Detroit, following a preliminary examination in 41B District Court in Clinton Township.
First-degree murder carries a mandatory penalty of life without parole.
