(KFVS) - Rain and thunderstorm chances continue today.

We are starting off with foggy, cloudy conditions ahead of a line of storms moving in later this morning.

This system will have the greatest impact in our southern counties early in the day.

These strong to severe storms could produce some gusty winds and heavy downpours. We are outlooked at a threat level 2.

Meghan Smith says by the afternoon, we will likely see conditions dry out with a few isolated storms developing in the late afternoon and evening hours.

Any storms that develop could produce hail and gusty winds.

Highs for today will be in the mid-70s to lower 80s.

Looking ahead, drier air will blow in from the west on Sunday giving us a break from the rain with highs in the 80s.
