The bar is high for all-time greats in the Bentonville girls soccer program.

Having won their third straight state championship and 10th overall this season, the Tigers have had no shortage of talented players through the years.

Sydney Hopper helped find ways this season to differentiate herself from those who came before her, thus earning the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette's All-Arkansas Preps Girls Soccer Player of the Year.

"I've been fortunate to have coached a number of players that have gone on to play at the collegiate level, to win the Arkansas Gatorade Player of the Year, and then also to go on to play it at the collegiate level, and Sydney is definitely in that group," Bentonville girls soccer Coach Steven Porter said.
