INDIANAPOLIS — Indiana House Republicans had public safety as on of their top priorities this legislative session.
Gov. Mike Braun recently signed a few bills into law relating to public safety including House Enrolled Act 1232. State Rep. Ethan Lawson (R-Greenfield) co-authored the bill and said it will ensure that critical data is shared more efficiently to keep law enforcement officers and the public safer.
“In a situation where certain decisions can save lives, access to the most current information is crucial for our officers,” Rep. Lawson said. “This law will make important updates to improve the reliability of the system so that agencies can better share information and respond to threats more effectively.”
