SAN ANTONIO - A suspect was arrested on multiple child sex crime charges during a routine drug court check.

According to the Bexar County Sheriff's Office (BCSO), 38-year-old Enrique Soriano was arrested after investigators analysed his phone as part of the drug court program.

In a post made to Facebook, BCSO said they found highly disturbing content on the suspect's phone, including a Discord group chat where multiple individuals had been sharing child pornography.

Soriano was originally arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. However, investigators were able to identify a child under the age of 11 involved in several explicit videos.

The charges were then upgraded to Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child. Soriano remains in custody at the Bexar County Jail.
