COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A man was arrested for Motor Vehicle Theft on Friday, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

CSPD’s Motor Vehicle Theft unit found a blue 2013 Toyota Corolla, which police say was stolen on Wednesday from the 3000 Block of North Nevada Avenue.

Officers reportedly tried to stop the stolen vehicle, driven by 37-year-old Jason Garling, near Centennial Boulevard and Fillmore Street, however, he fled.

Detectives surveilled the stolen vehicle, leading them to Mt. View Lane. and Cragmor Road.

Police say Garling eventually got out of the car and was stopped by detectives a short distance from the stolen Toyota.
