Matt Chorley forced off air by fire alarm while hosting Radio 5 Live

BBC Breakfast's Naga Munchetty expressed her support for her BBC Radio 5 Live colleague after an unexpected interruption led to them being taken off air and having to evacuate the studio.

Earlier this week, Matt Chorley's radio show was disrupted when a fire alarm went off in the studio.

Initially dismissing it as a drill, the presenter soon realised he needed to vacate the BBC Radio 5 Live studio.

Matt posted a video of the incident on social media, reassuring his followers that Naga "had it under control".

Naga also sent a supportive message to her co-star following the event. Along with the video, Matt wrote: "When you're taken off air by a fire alarm. You leave the building.
