St. Clair Shores police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who was captured on video stealing a large, potted plant from a local business.

Surveillance video captured at a law office on Little Mack Avenue near 10 Mile Road shows a bright blue Toyota RAV4 pulling up to the curb at the building entrance. A gray haired man wearing a baseball cap exits the vehicle, picks up a large planter from the cement entrance area and puts it into the back of his vehicle. It is obvious the planter is heavy as the man is seen struggling to get it to the car and lift it into the back area.

The incident happened at 2:30 a.m. on June 1.

Police said the man covered his license plate with paper so as not to be identified.
