Police Saturday are investigating the shooting death of a 55-year-old man in South Los Angeles that authorities believe was gang-related.

Los Angeles Police Department officers were called at 10 p.m. Friday to 73rd Street and Broadway regarding a shots fired call, LAPD Officer Drake Madison told City News Service,

When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshots wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and took the man to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.

There was no suspect description.
