President Donald Trump and billionaire Elon Musk are showing no signs of reconciling, but Republicans are increasingly urging them to settle their public dispute.

Their clash could complicate the path forward for what Trump calls his “Big Beautiful Bill” that he hopes will help reshape the federal government, but which Musk has said contains far too much spending, which will continue to add to the deficit.
