WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) -- The Gaspee Days fireworks event that was scheduled for Saturday evening, has been postponed until Sunday.

"The weather forecast for this evening isn’t very promising so I’ve decided to postpone the fireworks to tomorrow night," Warwick Mayor Frank Picozzi said in a post on social media.

The event has been moved to Sunday night, 9 p.m., off of the coast of Salter's Grove.

There will also be several food and novelty vendors for people to enjoy a the event.
