JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WIAT) -- A security officer at William Donaldson Correctional Facility was arrested Thursday for allegedly promoting prison contraband.
According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, it was notified that Allied Universal security officer Aniki Jones was acting suspiciously at the facility. The ADOC stated Jones was detained after attempting to avoid a shakedown. Jones allegedly admitted she had marijuana.
The ADOC Law Enforcement Services Division conducted interviews and obtained three contraband packages. The ADOC stated those packages contained about 230 grams of marijuana, around 172 grams of methamphetamine and an unknown substance.
