This summer, there is a wee attraction just 45 minutes from Glasgow that's ideal for entertaining little history lovers.

Families across Glasgow should head to Duncarron Medieval Village, which is found in the Carron Valley, near Denny, where kids can learn how to become knights for the day or even get involved in a pirate invasion.

The wooden fort and authentic medieval village has featured in both TV and film and is designed to be a lifelike recreation of a Scottish fortress and village from the 12th Century.

The thrilling attraction has played host to stunt men, historical reenactments and has been open to visitors for guided tours and living history events since 2019, recently opened to the public every day for self-guided tours.
