CHAPEL HILL — UNC baseball can advance to the College World Series with a win against Arizona in Game 2 of the Chapel Hill Super Regional.
The No. 5 overall seed Tar Heels (46-13) started the super with a bash at Boshamer Stadium, earning an 18-2 win against the Wildcats (42-19) in Game 1. UNC pitcher Jake Knapp and first baseman Hunter Stokely were among the many stars in the opener.
UNC is aiming to advance to the College World Series in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2008-09. Right-handed pitcher Jason DeCaro (9-3, 3.50 ERA) will be UNC's starting pitcher against Arizona in Game 2.
