We may be witnessing a flipping of our two predominating, principal (and less principled) political parties in real-time, where Republicans are scoring gains on turfs earlier occupied by Democrats; which are now self-occupied in reflecting upon and yet still genuflecting toward their former franchise.

This pending juxtapositioning may better allow us to compare and contrast the offerings and opportunities those two major political players currently proffer as sweet treats which can thrill our initial tastings, but then later rot our teeth, preventing a better chew.
