A 25-year-old man was pronounced dead near Chicago Boulevard on North Lodge around 2:15 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, police said.

The man drove an SUV and hit a tree on the embankment on the side of the highway. The vehicle rolled back on the highway and blocked lanes of traffic, police said.

At some point, the man was ejected from the vehicle, which caught on fire, police said.
