EDMONTON -- Evan Bouchard doesn't recall when his slap shot started to get attention, when it started to really become a big part of who he is as a player.

"I don't know, I started working on it when I was young, since I would say it was above average," the Edmonton Oilers defenseman said.

Above average? Imagine that.

Bouchard's shot has become such a weapon in the NHL that it has its own nickname, the "Bouch Bomb." And the 25-year-old is making history with it.

Bouchard has 21 points (seven goals, 14 assists) in 18 Stanley Cup Playoff games after he had a goal and two assists in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final on Friday, a 5-4 double overtime loss to the Florida Panthers at Rogers Place that evened the best-of-7 series 1-1.
