OMAHA, Neb. —

On Friday, people grocery shopping had the opportunity to give back to the community.

The Food Bank for the Heartland was outside the Baker's near 173rd Street and West Center Road for their Stuff the Truck event.

Organizers said holding it there made it easier for people to give back.

The food bank said the donations are needed now more than ever.

"The food bank is seeing food insecurity levels that we have not seen in our history. One in seven individuals and one in five children do not know where their next meal is coming from. And right now, during the summer months, it's one of the hungriest seasons because financial donations typically go down and the need increases because kids are out of school," said Stephanie Sullivan.
