Man, woman arrested for shoplifting $1,600 worth of items from Kohl's: APD

A man and a woman were arrested after police conducted a "shoplifting blitz" at a Kohl's in northwest Austin on Tuesday.

On Tuesday, June 3, at approximately 12:50 p.m., APD officers responded to a report at the Kohl's at 11111 Lakeline Blvd. that two people were removing security devices and hiding unpaid merchandise while in the store.

Store employees informed the officers that the suspect had concealed a number of items in reusable shopping bags and in a woman's purse.

APD says that officers observed the suspects as they exited the store with the stolen items. They got into a black Tesla with the stolen merchandise and were then taken into custody by police.
