We're more connected to the ocean than you may think, and naturalist Sir David Attenborough is ready to share his findings in the new National Geographic documentary, "Ocean with David Attenborough."

Attenborough begins the film with the statement, "After living for nearly a hundred years on this planet, I now understand that the most important place on Earth is not on land, but at sea."

At 99-years-old, Attenborough's life has coincided with a century of ocean discovery. The film takes a deep dive into the ocean's vital role in sustaining life on Earth through spectacular sequences, inspirational stories and scientific insights.

On The Red Carpet spoke with filmmakers Toby Nowlan and Keith Scholey, who have worked on many Attenborough productions over the years.
