On Saturday at 10:32 a.m. the National Weather Service reported an air quality alert in effect until Sunday at 12:15 a.m. for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Cayuga, Oswego, Jefferson, Lewis, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.

"The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation at Albany has issued an Air Quality Health Advisory for Fine Particulates until midnight tonight," says the weather service.
