Caregiver accused of assaulting patient with knife

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - Police arrested a woman after they said she threatened a victim with a knife during a dispute.

On May 22, Jonesboro police responded to a reported assault in the 3700 block of Fielder Drive.

The victim told police that Tracy Kelso, a live-in caregiver, was in the process of being replaced, and Kelso was upset about it.

Court documents state that Kelso was in the bedroom when the victim let a car dealership representative into her home.

The representative was there to collect a delinquent payment for a vehicle Kelso had purchased.

According to the affidavit, Kelso came out of her room angry and shouted, “its hard to pay your car payment when you can’t even get a paycheck.”

The victim stated, “Tracy, you have to work to get paid.”
