HANNAH — Two seniors at Hannah-Pamplico High School have become the first students in the school's history to earn FAA Part 107 Drone Pilot Certification, setting a new milestone for the school's Career and Technical Education program.

Alileena Singletary and Itzama Garcia earned their credentials this spring after completing coursework in drone operations, safety, and flight simulation. Their training was made possible through a partnership with a statewide drone education initiative aimed at preparing students for careers in aviation and technology.
