Angelina Gonzales knew how she wanted to celebrate her graduation from Azusa High School.
“The night before, we three had dinner at home and she said she wanted a trip to Cancun for graduation. That was her thing,” Angelina’s mother, Leticia Caraballo, remembers. “That night always stands out because her 18th birthday was coming up, and Christmas, and she was looking forward to all that.” • Students at Azusa High School use their cellphones in place of candles to honor Angelina Gonzales, at a rally at the school gym on Jan. 10.
