KALAMAZOO, MI – Kalamazoo authorities are seeking the public’s help as they investigate a Saturday morning shooting that left one man injured.

Officers from the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety were called to the 700 block of Florence Street in Kalamazoo at approximately 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, June 7, after receiving reports of gunshots heard in the area.

Shortly after the gunshots were reported, a 30-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at an area hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

The man’s vehicle was shot at while he was driving near Florence and Simpson streets, and he was struck by a bullet that penetrated his vehicle, police said.
