Coco Gauff is officially a French Open champion.

The 21-year-old American tennis phenom captured her second Grand Slam title on Saturday (June 7) with a thrilling 6-7(5), 6-2, 6-4 victory over Belarus’ Aryna Sabalenka on Court Philippe-Chatrier.

After losing the first set in a tiebreak, Coco stormed back with fearless hitting and relentless defense.

This is Coco’s second Grand Slam title, following her breakthrough win at the 2023 US Open. She’s now the first American woman to win the French Open since Serena Williams in 2015.

From her runner-up finish here in 2022 to lifting the trophy today, Coco’s journey has come full circle. The future of American tennis has truly arrived!
