HAMPTON, N.H. (WPRI) -- The New Hampshire Department of State Police said a New Bedford man, accused of driving the wrong way on I-95 and later involved in a deadly crash that killed an Endicott College police sergeant, was arrested and extradited to New Hampshire.

Investigators say said they obtained an extraditable arrest warrant in December, charging 40-year-old Keoma Duarte, a New Bedford resident, with two felony counts of reckless conduct and one misdemeanor count of disobeying an officer.

Officials in New Hampshire said Duarte allegedly drove his Tesla on the wrong side of the highway in Hampton, before crashing into officer Jeremy Cole's car early Thanksgiving morning in 2004.

Cole later died of his injuries.
