FOUND: CBI searching for missing elderly man with cognitive impairment

LAFAYETTE, Colo. (KKTV) - UPDATE: CBI said on Saturday that Ray Mattson has been found safe.

ORIGINAL: The Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is asking for help finding a missing 71-year-old man.

Ray Mattson is described as a white male with gray hair, hazel eyes, 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 180 pounds.

CBI said Mattson was last seen walking in the 1300 block of Inverness Drive in Lafayette on Thursday at noon.

Mattson was last seen wearing blue pants, a dark colored shirt, a light green hoodie and white tennis shoes.

CBI said Mattson suffers from a cognitive impairment and needs medication that he does not have, and there are concerns for his safety.

Anyone who sees Mattson is asked to call 911 or the Lafayette Police Department at 303-441-4444.
