CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A local fire department is mourning the loss of one of their own.
Floyd Napier, a lifetime member of the Drakes Branch Fire and Rescue Department, has passed away. "It is with great sadness that we announce that our Lifetime member and Drakes Branch icon has passed," said DBFRD's Facebook post.
Floyd was recently rescued from his burning home after First Assistant Chief James Napier, who's related to Floyd, saw smoke at his home and called in reinforcements.
