LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The community is mourning the loss of a beloved local business owner.

David Young, the owner of the store "Stones 'n Bones," has passed away.

During nearly three decades of operation in Lynchburg and Forest, staff say David became an icon in the "buy local" retail scene.

He was a paragon of curiosity, especially regarding the natural sciences," said a Facebook post shared by Stone's 'n Bones. "And he certainly never met a stranger!"
