Park City businessman and former Planning Commissioner John “JK” Kenworthy announced his campaign for the City Council on Saturday, after filing his candidacy shortly before the deadline Friday.

Best known as the owner of Flanagan’s on Main, he also owns several entertainment, property management and an investment businesses, along with the River’s Edge Resort and Campground in Heber Valley.

In addition to the Park City Planning Commission, he has served as chair of the Historic Preservation Board and president of the Historic Park City Business Alliance.
