THOMASTON, Conn. (WFSB) - Two people were injured after a crash on Route 8 in Thomaston on Saturday morning.
Officials said a Honda Accord sedan was going northbound on Route 8 near Exit 40 when suddenly the car left its lane and hit a guardrail.
Once it struck the guardrail, the vehicle crashed into a stonewall that was in the median.
Police said they do not know the reason why the car left its lane.
23-year-old Ivan Jesus Aybar of Torrington was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
19-year-old Albin Jose Santos was also transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
This incident remains under investigation.
