KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The man who caught the first touchdown pass thrown by Patrick Mahomes at Arrowhead Stadium has announced his retirement.

Former Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Chris Conley announced his retirement Saturday morning following 10 seasons in the National Football League.

Conley, who was drafted by the Chiefs in the third round of the 2015 NFL Draft out of Georgia, announced the news on Instagram.

“When I was a kid I wrote down a set of goals. On that list was ‘Play 10 years in the NFL,’” Conley wrote in a post. “Now that this goal has been accomplished, it’s time to set sights on something new. The past 10 years have been a dream.”
