It’s hard to believe The Goonies is turning 40 on June 7!

The star-studded ‘80s classic follows a group of kids living in the Goon Docks , a neighborhood in Astoria, Ore., who try to save their homes from foreclosure by the bank by embarking on an adventure led by Mikey to find the buried treasure of One-Eyed Willy, a 17-century pirate.

Along the way, they meet new friends like Sloth, create memories and form romantic partnerships. All in all, they become better BFFs because “Goonies never say die!”
